2010 SA National Motocross Season Wrap Up The 2010 National Motocross season has now drawn to a close with the 6th and final round having run this past weekend in Port Elizabeth. Ryan competed in 5 of the 6 National rounds with reasonable success, skipping the final round in order to complete his studies and exams. Having not run the full season, Ryan still managed to put in a decent effort. His position of 6th in the final points standing is testament of this. Working with a limited budget in 2010 has kept expectations low and at the request of his Ryan also spent 2010 completing his education at school, opening the door to allow him to get back to serious racing contention in 2011. He now has the time to focus all his efforts on his racing career in 2011.
2010 Northern Regions Regional Series Season Wrap Up 1st 2010 MX2 Northern Regions Regional Champion An extremely long Regional season, that started on the 30th January 2010, with the first round at Dirt Bronco Racetrack, finally drew its last breath this past Saturday at the Zeemans Racetrack in Alberton, just south of Johannesburg on the 27th November. A tough series, comprising of eight rounds, meant that consistent placing on the podium throughout the year would bring one rider to the top step at the end of it all. With three of the top national protagonists doing battle at most of the rounds, it was no easy feat, but in a series that went down to the last race to determine the overall champion, no inch or quarter was given. Ryan through sheer will managed to capture the Motivation Ryan is a well spoken, intelligent 18 year old who is approachable by both young and old. He has a fluid racing style, always looking comfortable and seems to always be riding well within his capabilities. He is respected by his peers on the track and In the 13 years of his competitive career, he has only suffered two minor injuries. These being a green stick fracture on his ankle and one on his wrist. |
